The part 2W-6134 is a Caterpillar cylinder liner band filler (also known as an upper liner band seal). It is a critical sealing ring with a rectangular cross-section designed to fit into the upper groove of an engine’s cylinder liner. It creates a precise, tight seal between the cylinder liner and the engine block deck to prevent oil, coolant, and combustion gases from leaking.
